TN Home Inspector License – #1476
InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector – NACHI16031913
Crawford has experience stretching all the way back to high school. He spent years in both high school and college working as a farm hand on a small horse farm. A large amount of his job consisted of equipment maintenance, engineering, and building science lessons. Here he developed his love of construction and an understanding of how many built-in appliances work as well as how to maintain them.
Following college, Crawford spent many years working in logistics. First, he worked for the Department of Defense as a contractor on a large flight test facility. Next, he spent some time as a freight broker. After years in logistics, he began work for a large insurance company. The job helped to further develop his attention to detail, organizational skills, personal responsibility, and customer service.
After some research he began studying building science and home inspection, turning his interest and passion into Parrish Home Inspection. His past jobs have helped him develop many of the skills that are critical to home inspection and have been a huge asset in his education and approach.
Respect for Trades
Crawford has a lot of respect for all of the trades involved in the home’s construction. He is fascinated by carpentry, framing, and how they operate together as a system. He loves the science and mechanical engineering of homes. His love of these jobs and skills have helped to develop his knowledge and ability to know when a job has been done right, when any corners have been cut, or if systems have been improperly installed.
In the world of home inspections, experience really does count. Crawford Parrish has been working in the field since 2016 and has personally performed 1,200 inspections and counting. This, along with his past careers and education, makes him well versed in everything to do with home inspections. Nothing beats an experienced and passionate Home Inspector on your side.
The Home as a Whole
Crawford believes in utilizing a holistic approach during his inspection. Although the systems are separate and can operate independently from one another, they all contribute to the same large system, the home. During inspections he not only pays attention to the components and structures individually, but also notes how faults or defects in one system may affect another.
Homelife and Hobbies
Crawford has young children and enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and his community. He also acts as a role model for the younger generation and coaches youth league football. Crawford owns a 1967 Kaiser CJ-5 that he has slowly (very slowly) been restoring. With any additional spare time, he tries to stay outdoors as much as possible.
